Trail Days: October 4th, 2026 Stewardship Day
This year's fall Trail Day lands on the Sunday of the Smith Rock Climbing Festival — so if you're already in town for the festival, come put in a few hours giving back to the rock before you get back on it.
We will be tackling Mesa Verde Steps, Rope De Dope Stairs, and the Monument Belay Ledges. No experience needed, we'll show you what to do when you get there.
When: Saturday, October 4th, 10 am - 4 pm
What to bring: Water, sturdy shoes, work gloves if you have them (we'll have extras)

Smith Rock Group Trail Days are smaller, focused and reactive trail maintenance days in addition to our Spring Thing Event. These events let us take on additional projects throughout the year and increase the maintenance at Smith Rock State Park.
This is a new program and we are looking for Trail Leaders in the community with trail-building skills or people who want to build new skills. If you are interested in becoming a Trail Leader click on the box below!
